The employment of all taxi workers are governed by this legislation.
The determination sets –
- minimum wages
- working hours
- number of leave days
- termination rules.
Application
Sectoral Determination 11 applies to all employers and workers in the Taxi sector in South Africa, including –
- taxi drivers;
- administrative staff;
- rank marshals;
- cleaning staff; and
- employees who assist in collecting of fares and the loading and off-loading of passengers.
This determination does not apply to –
- owner drivers;
- employers and workers in the metered taxi sector;
- employers and workers covered by another bargaining council agreement in terms of the Labour Relations Act 1995.
